Get soft-smokey eyes (no brush involved)

Hello guys!
I hope all is well on your end. Now, coming to today's post. I am getting a lot of requests to do some looks for the coming festivities. It makes my heart melt to see such overwhelming response from you guys. In today's post, I will show you how to get soft ,smokey eyes and that too without any brushes, yay!

Things you need

Concealer

Brown and black eye shadow

Brown kajal

Mascara

Steps

Use the concealer to hide any veins or pigmentation on your eye lids.

Now, take the brown matte shade and with the help of your ring finger apply it all over the eyelids and smudge it out till the crease. This will act as a base for your eyes.

Take the brown kajal and apply it near the outer v of the eye and smudge it in a manner so that the darker side is near your outer v and the smudged out portion are the eye lids and inner corner.

To build more intensity, take some black eye shadow on your ring finger and just put a little on the outer v of your eye. Again smudge it out.

Use a mascara to give some volume to your lashes and with that you have got the look you wanted. A soft smokey eye-look.
Before|After

I hope you like this post. This look is so easy and can be worn with ethnic and western outfits during the festivities. Do re-create this look and send me pictures. XOXO.

Office-Office

It's monday again and we welcome the blues with our heavy hearts! Well, how about some cure? I think that some work-wear inspiration will definitely lift up your mood. As you might have guessed, this post is about work wear and makeup.

Most of us prefer some comfy clothes when it comes to those long 9 hours of cubicle. So, I have picked up something which would soothe the taste buds of majority of you. This black short top/kurti paired with a lovely pair of leggings gives a very Indo-western look. It is not too Indian or too western. This outfit is comfortable yet stylish enough to handle work hours in vogue. I have not gone for something which is too radical but have reached out for something with which all you beautiful girls can identify.

Coming to makeup, I have tried to keep it very simple as too much of makeup is not a good idea when it comes to long hours. For face I have used a moisturizer and a light coverage foundation (Lakme Absolute). To set the foundation I have used a compact powder (Maybelline) .
For the eyes, I have used a little trick. Well, I have huge issues when it comes to staying power of kajal, it gets smudged no matter what! So, I decided I would go for a smudged look , that is, I put some kajal on my eye lids and water line and smudged it which turned out to be a nice smokey look, yay!  Ofcourse, I used mascara. For lips I lined my lips with a nude coloured lip pencil (Loreal) and opted for a burnt orange colour. You can totally skip orange and go for any nude colour.

A blue bag, a watch and a pair of  glasses completed my look.

Mulshi in Monsoon

Hello loves!
First of all, I am so sorry for not being able to post these few days but now, I am back! Since it is the monsoon month, I again took advantage of the weather and went to Mulshi. It is a beautiful place whose beauty is increased 10 fold with the arrival of monsoon. The green everywhere was a treat to the eyes and as I am a bengali I always associate enjoyment with  ' pet puja'. We stopped at the Paradise Cafe , famous for its yummy Punjabi food ended up tasting some delicious food while soaking the beauty of Mulshi lake which stood right in front of my table. Well, you can imagine as much as you want, haha. I am sharing some of the beautiful pictures from Mulshi which show how beautiful this place is, enjoy!

Location- Paradise Cafe , Mulshi

I hope you guys liked the post, I promise to be back soon. XOXO

Makeup No Makeup

Hello beauties!

Let me tell you before starting with today's post that I am loving the weather in Pune. Its been raining every now and then and let me tell you it was a much needed rain for the state is experiencing serious water scarcity for some time now. The weather is literally making me so happy. It's cold and believe it or not I am wrapped up in a blanket as I write this post. This weekend I have been a little busy doing something which I would soon be posting on my blog. So, this morning when I woke up to this romantic weather, I just told myself, I shall post a make up post today because I feel like playing with make up sitting at home and soaking the gorgeous view of the sky.

This is my first post related to make up. I am a person who would often go for looks which are everyday kind. I mean I like make up looks which can be worn for work, casual outings with friends or shopping. So, I have created a look  which I like to call NO MAKE UP LOOK.

Make up Breakdown

1.To start with the look, I used a  face moisturizer. Then, I used the Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light. This cream has got instant brightening property.

2.Then I used Veryme peach me perfect skin glow from Oriflame on my face which I used to get an even tone and also as the name suggests it does add a glow to your skin.

3.Next I used a concealer from True Match range in the shade light/medium by Loreal. I used  it under my eyes, corner of my nose to hide any fine lines, dark circles etc. I also used it on the bridge on my nose and on my forehead as a highlighter.

4.Next I grabbed my absolute favourite Fashion brow by Maybelline and made my eyebrows stand out with it.

5.For the eyes, I picked up the Maybelline Fit me Blush in the shade Coral and used it as an eye shadow all over my eye lids.

6.I used my all time favourite eyeliner by Lakme Absolute to draw a my kinda winged liner. If you know me you would know how I love winged liners. To make my eyes appear a little bit bigger I used a white eye pencil by oriflame on my water line. For mascara I used False Lash butterfly mascara by Loreal.

7.For lips I used a chap stick for my lips are super chapped and dry so I need chap sticks all the time. After giving some life back to my lips, I applied my favourite nude lipstick by MAC called Velvet Teddy. To give some more colour to my lips I used a coat of a coral lipstick from Lakme absolute gloss addict called Desert rose. I used a transparent gloss to set my lips.

MAC Velvet Teddy

Lakme Absolute Desert Rose

The products I have used here are mostly available at any cosmetic shops and are affordable. I wanted to do an everyday look that suits majority of our Indian skin tone. So, I chose a very peachy-coral warm look.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know if you guys want videos of make up looks. I love you guys so much, XOXO. Now, I will go back to sleep. Blame the weather.
